Michael Bublé's big breakthrough moment came when the former Canadian Prime Minister, Brian Mulroney, invited him to sing at his daughter's wedding in 2000. Michael Bublé was released in early 2003 and soon the top 50 of the Billboard 200 album charts in the U.S.

In 2004, Michael Bublé won the "New Artist of the Year" award at the Juno Awards and his self-titled album was also up for "Album of the Year".

On April 4, 2007, Bublé appeared again on American Idol, this time as a last minute replacement to Tony Bennett, singing Frank Sinatra's "Call Me Irresponsible."

In December 2007, Michael Bublé appeared as a guest on The X Factor, performing his single "Lost," and mentoring the final 4 contestants for their upcoming performances.
