Christina Maria Aguilera was born on December 18, 1980 in Wexford, Pennsylvania

Christina Aguilera got first big break at the age of 12, landing a coveted spot on the popular show The Mickey Mouse Club. There she became a Mousketeer, with fellow cast mates Britney Spears, Keri Russell, J.C. Chasez, and Justin Timberlake.

Eventually, Christina Aguilera recorded the song "Reflection" for Disney animated movie Mulan. She was signed for a record deal with RCA Records that same week. The song "Reflection" became a hit adult contemporary single, and garnered a Golden Globe nomination for Best Original Song for a Motion Picture.

Christina Aguilera's eponymous debut album was released in 1999, and "Genie In A Bottle" became one of the year's biggest hit songs. At the 2000 Grammys, Christina Aguilera won for Best New Female Artist.

A year later Christina Aguilera returned to the top of the charts with the dance-pop tune "What a Girl Wants" and the ballad "I Turn to You."

In 2001, Christina Aguilera proved she had one of the absolute finest voices in music when she sang on "Lady Marmalade," from the Moulin Rouge! soundtrack. Teamed with Lil' Kim, Pink and Mya, Christina Aguilera stole the show. The video took home the 2001 MTV Video Music Award for Best Video of the Year.

In 2003, Christina Aguilera morphed in "Xtina" as she released Stripped. The kinky new album featured such songs like "Dirrty," "Beautiful" and "Can't Hold Us Down." In 2003, Christina Aguilera was the No.1 Billboard Female Artist of the year.

Christina Aguilera slowed things down in 2005 when she married music executive Jordan Bratman. The two had a baby boy in January 2008.

Christina Aguilera released a the jazzy and mature-sounding Back to Basics in 2006. The album's firrst single, "Ain't No Other Man," won the 2007 Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocals.
