Then came the album that would launch the band into the stratosphere - 1977's Rumours, which sold over 17 million copies and quickly became one of the best-selling albums of all-time.

Incredible vocals, stunning looks ant hit songs like "Dreams" and "Rhiannon" made Nicks the standout in Fleetwood Mac, and in 1981 Nicks left the band to record her solo debut, Bella Donna. The album quickly reached the top spot on the billboard charts. Singles like "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around" (a duet with Tom Petty), "Edge of Seventeen (Just Like the White Winged Dove)," kept Nicks in the spotlight and furthered the chanteuse imagery. The Top 5 hit song "Stand Back," came from Nicks' second solo album, The Wild Heart," the single "Talk to Me," followed in 1985.

Fleetwood Mac reunited for the album Tango in the Night in 1987. Another Nick's solo album followed in 1989, The Other Side of the Mirror. In 1994, Fleetwood Mac released Street Angel. In 1997, Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac toured the album The Dance. Stevie Nicks released her solo box set, Enchanted, in 1998.
