Stevie Wonder, as it has been said many times, is one the most talented musicians of the 20th century.

Born Steveland Hardaway Judkins (later changed to Steveland Hardaway Morris) in Saginaw, Michigan in 1950, Stevie Wonder has become one of the most prolific artists in music history, delivering nearly 40 U.S. albums - with album sales totaling more than 72 million units. Stevie Wonder has recorded more than thirty top ten hits and has won 26 Grammy Awards to date, including a Lifetime Achievement Award (1996). Stevie Wonder also has an Academy Award for Best Song ("I Just Called to Say I Love You" from The Woman in Red -1984) on his mantle. Stevie Wonder has been inducted into both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Stevie Wonder has scored more than 30 Top Ten Hits with 11 #1 single and he took home Billboard's elite Century Award in 2004.

Stevie Wonder long championed the effort to make Martin Luther King's birthday a national holiday and his contribution to worldwide social and political change has made him a global hero. Stevie Wonder was also one of the main forces behind 1985's USA For Africa campaign.

But it is Stevie Wonder's songwriting and uncanny musical ability that sets him apart from all else.

As little Stevie Wonder, he scored his first hit at the age of thirteen, with "Fingertips (Pt. 2)", a 1963 single taken from a live recording of a Motor Town Revue performance.

By 1970, Stevie Wonder had scored a few additional hits, including "I Was Made to Love Her", "For Once in My Life", "My Cherie Amour", and "Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours".

Then Stevie Wonder became a mega-star.

In 1972, Stevie Wonder released Music of My Mind, an album that is considered a classic of the era. This began a string of five albums released over a period of less than five years, which comprise what is widely considered Stevie Wonder's most classic recording years

Later that year Stevie Wonder released Talking Book, which featured the smash hit "Superstition."

Then came another classic album - Innervisions. It featured "Higher Ground" and "Living for the City" amongst other gems. It won Stevie several Grammys.

Fulfillingness' First Finale was released in 1974 and gained Stevie 2 more smash hits - "You Haven't Done Nothin'" and "Boogie On Reggae Woman" - and 3 more Grammy Awards including Album of the Year.

Stevie Wonder released the monumental Songs in the Key of Life in September 1976.

It debuted at #1 on the Billboard charts and stayed there for the next 14 weeks. It featured "I Wish", "Sir Duke", and "Isn't She Lovely" - to name but a few songs. Stevie won yet another won Album of the Year Grammy that year.

Stevie released Hotter than July in1980 and has released one great album after the next since then.

In 2004, Rolling Stone magazine placed Stevie Wonder in the #15 spot on their list of "The 100 Greatest Rock and Roll Artists of All Time."

On July 2, 2005, Stevie Wonder performed in the USA part of the "Live 8" series of concerts in Philadelphia.

Stevie Wonder released A Time to Love in 2005.

Then in 2006, Stevie Wonder performed at Super Bowl XL in Detroit, singing a compendium of classic songs. Later that year, Stevie Wonder made a much-heralded appearance on the smash-hit television program American Idol.

Stevie Wonder is currently working on a new album tentatively titled The Gospel Inspired By Lula.
