A University of Maryland graduate' Chung started at WTTG-TV in Washington' DC' in 1969' where she was a copy person' news writer' and reporter. In 1971' Chung became a national correspondent at CBS News. After several jobs at other networks' Chung returned to CBS in 1989. She was co-anchor of the CBS Evening News from 1993 to 1995. A fellow at Harvard's John F. Kennedy School of Government in 1997' she later became co-anchor of 20/20' an ABC News production. She had her own talk show on CNN Connie Chung Tonight for less than a year. Chung and her husband' TV talk show host Maury Povich' have one son and live in New York City. They also hosted a show on MSNBC' Weekends with Maury and Connie from 2003-2006.
