RaeLynn Biography
The American singer and songwriter RaeLynn was born Rachael Lynn Woodward Davis in 1994 in Baytown, Texas. RaeLynn rose to prominence after she appeared in competition on the television reality series The Voice in 2012. Although eliminated in the quarterfinals, RaeLynn’s talents caught the attention of Republic Nashville, and she signed with the label after her departure from the show.
RaeLynn’s single debut, “Boyfriend,” arrived in 2012, and rose into the top forty on the country charts. Her second single, “God Made Girls” fared even better, rising into the top ten and reaching gold status. Her debut EP, titled simply “Me” was also a success for RaeLynn, rising into the top ten on the country charts and to the number forty-nine spot on the mainstream charts in the United States. The EP features the song, “For a Boy,” which also charted well on both country and mainstream charts.
In addition to her own music, RaeLynn has in recent years contributed vocals to two of Blake Shelton’s songs: “Boys ‘Round Here” and “Buzzin.” RaeLynn is expected to finish recording her debut album in the coming year, and fans hope to see it released in 2016.
