Jameson Rodgers Biography

Jameson Rodgers is an American singer and songwriter born in 1985. He was born and raised in Batesville, Mississippi, and would pursue baseball and country music when he attended college before moving to Nashville to pursue a career in 2010. Rodger would land his first publishing deal in 2014 before writing his first major records for the band Florida Georgia Line.

Jameson Rodgers would release his first project in 2016, and follow it up with another successful EP release in 2018. A song off of the latter, “Some Girls,” would prove to be his breakout solo hit, generating millions of streams across multiple platforms and received an opportunity to write the hit single “I Don’t Know About You” for Chris Lane. Rodger would eventually sign his first deal with Columbia Nashville that year and re-releasing his 2018 project.  

Rodgers song “Talk You Out of It” for Florida Georgia Line and “I Don’t Know About You” for Chris Lane would peak at #11 and #1 on the Country Airplay chart and #57 and #39 on the Billboard Hot 100, respectively. His hit “Some Girls” would peak at #78 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and Jameson Rodgers would continue to receive praise from major publications during this time, such as the Today Show and Billboard, among others.

Jameson Rodgers released two successful singles in 2020, including the Luke Combs assisted “Cold Beer Calling My Name,” which peaked at #38 on the Country chart.
