Nervo Biography

Twin musicians and songwriters, Olivia and Miriam Nervo were born in Melbourne, Australia, and initially as children and teenagers worked as models before they fell in love with music and shifted career paths. At the age of eighteen, the sisters signed with Sony Music Publishing as writers, and they even wrote songs for such notable artists as the Pussycat Dolls, Kesha, and Rachel Stevens.

One day, a songwriting session with Kelly Rowland led to the Grammy Award winning hit “When Love Takes Over,” which led to the official formation of the duo as Nervo, and the girls began writing their own material. Nervo’s debut endeavor, “This Kind Of Love,” rose to the top of the club charts internationally, and since that time the duo has released a number of hit dance singles, including: “We’re All No One” (featuring Afrojack); “You’re Gonna Love Again”; “Like Home” (featuring Nicky Romero); “Livin’ My Love” (featuring LMFAO); “In My Head” (featuring David Guetta & Daddy’s Groove); and “Hold On.” Notable remixes from Nervo include: “California Gurls” (Katy Perry); “Put Your Hands Up (If You Feel Love)” (Kylie Minogue); “Let’s Go” (Namie Amuro); “Grown Woman” (Beyonce); and “Time After Time” (Cyndi Lauper.) In addition, Nervo also contributed music for Britney Spears, Cheryl Cole, and Kelly Rowland.

Nervo recently penned the anthem to Belgium’s Tomorrowland, and the girls also returned to modeling through the agency Wilhelmina Models. Nervo also recently served as the opening act for Britney Spears on her concert tour in 2011, and performed at New Orleans’ Voodoo Experience in 2012. Most recently, Nervo performed at the Ultra Music Festival in Miami, Boonstock Festival, and at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2013.
