Bassjackers Biography

The Dutch music duo known as Bassjackers  was established by Ralph van Hilst and Marlon Flohr. As of 2017, the duo is best known for their 2013 hit “Crackin,” but long before their rise to prominence, the two musicians met in high school, where they began experimenting in writing, production, and recording of electronic music.

Some of the duo’s earliest singles include “16” (with Jorn); “Rocker”; “Stronger” (featuring Bizzey); and “Clifton,” most of which charted in the Netherlands and Belgium. In 2012, DJ Bassjackers got a boost after a performance at the Ultra Music Festival in Miami, bringing them to the United States for their largest audience up to that time. But it was the since “Crackin” which became the group’s biggest hit in 2014, and the duo has been on the rise ever since.

DJ Bassjackers is just getting started and clearly on the rise. The duo recently appeared on the songs “Can’t Take It” (featuring Cade and Breathe Carolina) and “These Heights” (with Lucas & Steve featuring Caroline Pennell.) DJ Bassjackers also recently had a big hit with the song “No Promises,” a collaboration with Cheat Codes and featuring Demi Lovato. DJ Bassjackers was recognized as one of the year’s Top 100 DJs by DJ Magazine in 2015.
