Borgeous Biography

The American DJ and music producer known as Borgeous was born John Borger. Borgeous rose to prominence in 2013 with a series of hit singles, including “Rags to Riches” and “From Cali with Love.” But it was the song “Tsunami,” recorded in collaboration with the Canadian music duo DVBBS that truly put Borgeous on the map, making him an international star.

“Tsunami” became one of the most played singles at electronic music festivals around the world, and reached to the number one spot on the Beatport 100. More than a dozen countries had the track reach number one on iTunes, and “Tsunami” earned Borgeous not only an EMPO Award for Track of the Year, but also a Juno Award nomination for Best Dance Recording of the Year.

The track also earned Borgeous a record contract with Spinnin’ records. Since that time, Borgeous has released dozens of additional singles, including his most recent—“Give Em What They Came For” (with Tre Sera and Avena Savage.) DJ Borgeous’s debut album, titled simple “13” also arrived in 2016.
