Cherub Biography

The electro-indie act known as Cherub was established in 2010 in Nashville. Cherub was founded by and consists of two musicians – Jason Huber and Jordan Kelley. The duo met while studying music tech at Middle Tennessee State University and sparked a friendship; about five years later they decided to form as a music duo.

Cherub self-released an EP, Man of the Hour (2011), followed by a debut album, MoM & DaD, via the digital forum in 2012. The works were successful enough to garner the attention of Columbia Records, and so Cherub signed with the label in 2013. The EP Antipasto (2013) and the major label debut Year of the Caprese followed in 2014; Year of the Caprese featured the single “Doses & Mimosas,” which became Cherub’s first top twenty alternative song.

Since that time, Cherub has released a second album—Bleed Gold, Piss Excellence—and launched the duo’s first nationwide tour in support of its release. Cherub has also been featured on a number of singles by other artists, including Eliot Lipp (“The Western”); GRiZ (“PS GFY”); and most recently, DJ Premiere’s single “My Space Baby.”
