The American DJ duo known as Jack U was established by Skrillex and Diplo. The two musicians had long collaborated on a variety of projects and in 2013 they decided to simply start performing together as a duo.

Jack U made its debut at the Ultra Music Festival in Miami in 2014, performing a full one-hour set which included not only individual works from Skrillex and Diplo, but also new material from the duo as Jack U. Another performance at the 2015 Ultra Music Festival followed, and then later that year Jack U released the debut album, Skrillex and Diplo Present Jack U. The album was a huge success, rising into the top forty on the mainstream charts in the United States and reaching all the way to number one on the dance charts. The album spawned the hit single “Where Are U Now,” featuring Justin Bieber, in addition to the singles “Take U There” and “To U.”

Jack U is a duo on the rise and just getting started. For their work together thus far, Jack U has already earned an American Music Award for Collaboration of the Year (for “Where Are U Now”) and two Grammy Awards – for Best Dance/Electronic Album and for Best Dance Recording (also for “Where Are U Now.”)
