The rapper known as Bad Azz was born Jamarr Antonio Stamps in 1975 in California. Long before he became a member of DPGC (Tha Dogg Pound Gangsta Crips), Bad Azz launched his career in his hometown, rapping and performing a local venues and parties in the area. Although he’s never risen to the level of notoriety as many of his contemporaries, Bad Azz has collaborated over the years with some of the industry’s most successful hip-hop and rap artists, including Tupac Shakur, Snoop Dogg, and Warren G.

 

Bad Azz’s own work includes the albums: Word on tha Streets (1998), Personal Business (2001), Money Run (2003), Executive Decision (2004), Thug Pound (2009), and Haven’t U Heard (2011.) Bad Azz’s own singles, including “We Be Puttin’ It Down” and “Wrong Idea,” feature collaborations with Snoop Dogg, but his list of additional appearances on tracks for others is impressive.
