Maino Biography

The hip hop artist known as Maino was born Jermaine Coleman in Brooklyn, New York. Maine is best known for his hit debut single “Hi Hater,” which released in 2008. But long before that, Maino released several mixtapes featuring his own music, and he also contributed vocals to songs by other artists. Maine’s talents eventually garnered him a recording contract with Atlantic Records, and he entered the studio to prepare for his debut album.

The result was If Tomorrow Comes, which featured not only the hit single “Hi Hater,” but also the song “All the Above,” which rose to platinum status. Maino followed the album with The Day After Tomorrow in 2012, and between 2008 and 2013 he also contributed vocals to a number of songs by other artists, including “Thug Luv” (with DJ Kayslay and Red Café) and “All Lies” (with Charli Baltimore.)

Maino is an artist on the rise and definitely one to watch in the coming years. His most recent project is the number one dance hit “Crazy,” which he recorded alongside Erika Jayne.
