Gnash Biography

The American singer, songwriter and producer known as Gnash was born Garrett Charles Nash in 1993. Although Gnash has been working as a DJ, writer and producer since his teenage years, he recently rose to prominence after the release of his debut EP, simply titled, “u,” and featuring his own music. The EP was a moderate success, and set the stage for the EP “me,” which followed.

But Gnash experienced his biggest breakthrough with this third EP, “us,” released in the spring of 2016 and which featured his breakthrough hit, the song “i hate you, i love u,” featuring vocalist Olivia O’Brien. The song became an international sensation, rising into the top forty on the mainstream charts in the United States and going all the way to the number one spot in Australia. It also garnered Gnash a Radio Disney Music Award nomination for Best Breakup Song.

Although Gnash has yet to release a debut album or sign with a major record label, he recently embarked on his first headlining tour, The U, Me, & Us Tour. Follow its conclusion in 2017, Gnash is expected to enter the studio to prepare for his debut album.
