Guapdad 4000 Biography

Guapdad 4000 is an American emcee and performer born in 1992. He was born and raised in Oakland, California, and did not pursue music actively until 2017. His debut project, Scamboy Color, generated him looks from local emcees and Wes Coasts talents like fellow rapper Buddy, but it was not until 2019 that Guapdad would break out due to his appearances on the label Dreamville’s Revenge of the Dreamers III.
           
Appearing on three songs, Guapdad would build p hype behind his debut album, Dior Deposits. Popular tracks like “Prada Process” with 6lack and “Gucci Pajamas” with Chance the Rapper and Charlie Wilson amassed millions of streams across platforms. Guapdad would then release two Eps the following year, entitled Platinum Falcon Tape, Vol. 1 and Platinum Falcon Returns.
           
The Dreamville project Guapdad was heavily featured on would be certified Platinum and top the Billboard 200 chart as well as the &B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. The standout single, “Costa Rica,” would peak at #75 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #30 on the R&B/Hip-Hop chart. Guapdad would also earn a Gold certification for the song and sign a deal with Warner records.
           
Guapdad continues to work on new music and recently released a music video for the Denzel Curry-assisted single, “Lil Scammer That Could.”
