Richard O'Neil Burrell, better known by his stage name Robb Banks (often stylized as Robb Bank$), is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer born on September 24, 1994, in New York City. Raised in Broward County, Florida, Banks is known for his distinctive voice, often described as abrasive and brash, and lyrics that frequently reference and pay tribute to anime, particularly "Naruto". He gained prominence in the music scene starting in 2012 with the Raider Klan movement and became associated with fellow South Florida artists like "XXXTentacion" and the collective Members Only.As the eldest child of Carol Johnson and Jamaican dancehall artist Shaggy, Burrell moved to Florida at the age of six. He dropped out of high school in his senior year to focus on music, releasing his debut mixtape, "Calendars", in 2012. This project showcased his rapping style over beats from producers like Clams Casino and SBTRKT, helping him establish an underground following, especially on platforms like Tumblr.
