Spafford Biography
The American jam band Spafford was established in Arizona in 2009, by founding members Jordan Fairless and Brian Moss. The two musicians met while playing open mic nights throughout the Prescott area of the state, and after bringing in additional artists to round out the lineup, the group released their debut album, Spafford, in 2012.
Spafford quickly became known for their improvisational live performances, blending funk, ska, reggae, and rock into dynamic performances which helped to build a dedicated fan base. As favorites on the festival circuit, the band has played to audiences at Head for the Hills, Peach Music Festival, Mad Tea Party Jam, Resonance Music Restival, and Some Kind of Jam, to name a few.
Today, Spafford continues to perform and record with the current lineup of Moss, Fairless, Red Johnson, and Cameron LaForest. The group recently completed an extensive summer tour in 2017 and will head to twenty additional states in the fall. They have also announced the upcoming release of their next studio album, expected to coincide with their fall tour.
