Capital Kings Biography

The American Christian pop act known as Capital Kings was established in the late 2000’s by founding members Cole Walowac and Jon White. The two musicians met through their local church activities, where as children they formed their first youth group band and started performing for the congregation.

Many years later, in 2012, Capital Kings released a debut EP, I Feel So Alive, followed by their self-titled debut album in 2013. The album was an instant success, rising into the top five on the Christian charts and earning the group a GMA Dove Award nomination for New Artist of the Year. A “remix” EP, Remixd, followed in 2014, and then a second studio album, II, in 2015. The album II was even more successful than Capital Kings, rising to the number one spot on the Christian charts and earning the duo another GMA Dove Award nomination, this time for the single “Fireblazin.”

So far, Capital Kings have given audiences three top twenty Christian hits – “You’ll Never Be Alone,” “I Feel So Alive,” and “Fireblazin.” The song “Into Your Arms” reached into the top twenty on the Christian charts but rose to the number three spot on the rock charts in the United States. Capital Kings have also appeared as guest artists on a number of songs by other musicians, including “Ready Set Go” (with Royal Tailor); “Loud and Clear” (with Da’ TRUTH); and “This is Not a Test” (with tobyMac.)

Capital Kings recently announced the departure of Jon White and his replacement, Dylan Housewright. The new duo of Dylan Housewright and Cole Walowac as Capital Kings most recently released their latest single, “Love is On Our Side,” in June of 2017.
