Forever in Your Mind Biography
The American boy band known as Forever in Your Mind was established in 2013, when Ricky Garcia and Emery Kelly auditioned for The X-Factor in 2013. The two young men, only sixteen and fourteen years old, were invited by Simon Cowell to remain on the show even after their elimination in the boot camp round. Forming a three-member “boy band,” Cowell added Jon Klassen to the trio, and the group marched on to compete on the show.
After the show wrapped, Forever in Your Mind forged forward, releasing the single “Sweet Little Something” in 2015 and signing with Hollywood Records, the official record label of the Disney Group. The trio entered the studio to write and record their debut EP, releasing the song “Hurricane” as its first single. The song “Enough About Me” followed, just before Forever in Your Mind released the debut EP, FIYM, in July of 2016.
Now heavily promoted by the Disney Corporation, Forever in Your Mind began appearing on a variety of Disney Channel shows, including Best Friends Whenever, where they performed both their own original material and covers of popular songs. They group also toured extensively with Disney’s DigiTour, performing alongside notables such as Fifth Harmony and Demi Lovato.
Forever in Your Mind is a young boy band on the rise and one to watch in the coming years. With the current lineup of Kelly, Garcia, and Liam Attridge, Forever in Your Mind recently released their second EP, Euphoric. The EP features the single “Rabbit Hole” and is expected to precede their major label debut album, expected to release in the coming years.
