New Hope Club Biography
The British pop group New Hope Club was established in 2015 by founding members Blake Richardson and George Smith. After bringing musician Reece Bibby into the group to round out the initial lineup as a trio, New Hope Club recorded a cover of The Vamp’s hit “Wake Up,” garnering significant buzz for their talents and earning the interest of a Virgin EMI Records subsidiary.
In early 2017, the debut EP Welcome to the Club followed, released on Hollywood Records via Steady Records. The EP featured the singles “Fixed” and “Whoever He Is,” and shortly after its release New Hope Club hit the road as an opening act for a number of high-profile acts, including The Tide, The Vamps, and Sabrina Carpenter. The group rounded out 2017 with a Teen Choice Award nomination for Next Big Thing.
New Hope Club is a brand new act and just getting started. The group recently launched their first headlining tour, taking the trio throughout Asia with performances in the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand. Upon their return, the group will enter the studio to prepare for a debut album, expected to release within the coming year.
