Case Biography

The Grammy-nominated R&B singer known as Case rose to prominence in 1996 after the release of the song “Touch Me, Tease Me,” recorded alongside Mary J. Blige and Foxy Brown. Prior to the hit reaching the charts, Case had spent a number of years singing with various R&B groups, before Def Jam Records signed him as a solo artist in the mid 1990’s.

“Touch Me, Tease Me” became a hit after its inclusion in the film The Nutty Professor, reaching into the top five on the R&B charts and launching Case’s career as a solo artist. Four albums followed: Personal Conversation (1999), Open Letter (2001), The Rose Experience (2009), and Here, My Love (2010.) The albums spawned the hit singles “Faded Pictures,” “Happily Ever After,” “Think of You,” “The Best Man I Can Be,” “Missing You,” “Not Your Friend,” “Shoulda Known Betta,” “Lovely,” and “Foreplay.” A number of Case’s songs have been featured in major motion pictures, including Rush Hour, Nutty Professor II: The Klumps, Meet the Browns, and The Best Man.

Case is currently finishing up work on his next studio album release, scheduled for 2014.
