She is recognized for her distinctive sound and lyrical prowess, and she gained notable attention in the music industry after being selected for XXL magazine's Annual Freshman Class list in 2022.KenTheMan grew up in Houston, where her passion for music was nurtured. Initially, she created her stage name as an alter ego. When signing up for SoundCloud, she wanted to use the name "Ken" but found many others with that name. Thus, she adopted "KenTheMan" as her stage identity, despite being female. After completing high school, she briefly enrolled in college but dropped out to pursue music.
