Drita D'Avanzo Biography
Reality television star Drita D’Avanzo is best known for her appearance on the hit VH1 series “Mob Wives.” But long before D’Avanzo made her small screen debut, she grew up on Staten Island, and initially harbored dreams of becoming a model. Instead, she worked as a makeup artist, both freelance and for a number of notable cosmetic companies.
Ultimately, Drita went on to marry Lee D’Avanzo, reputed crime member of the Colombo Crime Family and the Bonanno Crime Family. In 2011, Drita D’Avanzo was approached by producers at VH1 and invited to join the cast of “Mob Wives.” At the time, her husband Lee was actually in jail, but Drita joined the cast and remained with the series until 2016. Lee never appeared on the show, and in 2016, the couple announced their separation.
Since leaving “Mob Wives,” Drita D’Avanzo has appeared on the show’s spin-off, “Big Ang,” and on a number of other shows as a guest, including “Watch What Happens: Live” and “Celebrity Ghost Stories.” She continues to make public appearances, and recently launched “Lady Boss by Drita,” her first line of cosmetics.
