Tristan MacManus Biography

The professional dancer Tristan MacManus was born in 1982. Today, Tristan is best known as one of the former dance partners featured on ABC’s hit reality competition Dancing with the Stars. But long before joining the show’s dancing team, MacManus grew up in Ireland, traveling around Europe and competing as a dance throughout his childhood.

Tristan won a number of juvenile and junior competitions before earning his way onto the theater stage in various musicals, most notably the traveling version of Simply Ballroom. MacManus joined Dancing with the Stars for the show’s twelfth season; during his time on the show, he and his partners finished once in 8th place and another time in 5th place, but he never managed to bring a partner into the finals. In 2014, Tristan joined the cast of Strictly Come Dancing, the UK version of the show, for its twelfth series, and remained with the show for season thirteen. Tristan left before the show’s fourteenth season.

Shortly after leaving the show, MacManus married Australian actress Tahnya Tozzi. The couple recently welcomed their first child.
