Jo Mersa Marley Biography
Jo Mersa Marley is a Jamaican-American singer and songwriter born Joesph Marley in 1991. He was born in Kingston, Jamaica, and soon moved to Florida in his teenage years. Marley is the song of Stephen Marley and the grandson of music legend Bob Marley and started writing songs at an early age.
Coming from a musical family, Marley soon began crafting reggae tunes and set up base in Miami, Florida. By 2014 he had released his debut EP Comfortable to critical success. Jo Mersa Marley would soon begin releasing a series of singles along with his other family members, such as Yohan Marley and Damian Marley.
Jo Mersa Marley’s debut EP would garner millions of streams across multiple platforms, and found great success with the single “Rock and Swing.” His music has been featured in major publications including Billboard and the Grammys, among others. Marley would also contribute to the track “Light It Up” in 2015 for Morgan Heritage, which would win the 2015 Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album.
Jo Mersa Marley recently released the single “Point of View” with fellow musician and family member Damian Marley.
