New Found Glory Biography
New Found Glory was established in 1997 in Florida. The pop punk band initially came together when founding members Stephen Klein and Jordan Pundik met in high school and forged a musical relationship which led to the addition of Ian Grushka, Joe Marino, and Chad Gilbert to round out the lineup. New Found Glory’s debut, It’s All About the Girls, was released later the same year, and the EP garnered the band enough attention to help them launch their first tour.
After signing their first recording contract, New Found Glory released their major debut, Nothing Gold Can Stay, in 1999, followed by New Found Glory in 2000. The latter spawned the hit single “Hit or Miss,” bringing New Found Glory to the forefront of mainstream music and bringing the album to the top of the Billboard charts. New Found Glory quickly reached gold status and paved the way for tours alongside such alternative superstars as Green Day and Blink-182.
Since then, New Found Glory has released the albums Sticks and Stones (2002), Catalyst (2004), Coming Home (2006), Not Without a Fight (2009), and Radiosurgery (2011), producing the alternative hits “My Friends Over You” and “All Downhill from Here.” New Found Glory continues to tour, perform, and record, with the current lineup of Pundik, Gilbert, Klein, Grushka, and Cyrus Bolooki. The band currently has plans for their next album release and a number of side projects as well.
