Donovan's hippy-dippy appeal was bolstered by hits like "Colours," "Mellow Yellow" reaching the number two spot a few months later. Donovan remained a chart fixture throughout 1967, generating a series of hits including "Epistle to Dippy," "There Is a Mountain," and "Wear Your Love Like Heaven." Donovan became a grand hippie when he traveled to India with his drugged-out pals, the Beatles, to study with the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Turing away from drugs and into meditation, Donavan returned to the charts with his creepy ode to carnival instrument, "The Hurdy Gurdy Man" and the trippy "Jennifer Juniper." Donovan's 1969 album Barabajagal yielded his last Donovan's final Top 40 hit, the heady tune "Atlantis". Donovan then did some collaborating with the Jeff Beck Group, releasing a couple of albums with them. Donovan continued his musical adventures over the next several decades and he still entertains audiences the world over. Donovan also continues to be an outspoken proponent of transcendental mediation.
