Dana Carvey made his big screen debut as a mime alongside Billy Crystal in This is Spinal Tap. Dana Carvey then landed a spot on NBC's hit making machine Saturday Night Live . He spent seven seasons, from 1986 to 1992, doing impressions of George Bush, Ross Perot, Dan Quayle, Johnny Carson, Jimmy Stewart, and Woody Allen, to name but a few.

The movie was an instant smash hit and spawned countless impersonations of Carvey's character Garth. In 1993, Dana Carvey co-starred in Wayne's World 2. Dana Carvey won an Emmy Award in 1993 for Outstanding Individual Performance in a Variety or Music Program. He starred in The Dana Carvey Show in 1996.
Dana Carvey has received a total of six Emmy nominations, including one for a guest appearance on HBO's highly acclaimed Larry Sanders Show.
In 2002, Dana Carvey returned to the silver screen in the comedy Master of Disguise.
