The movie was an instant smash hit and spawned countless impersonations of Carvey's character Garth. In 1993, Dana Carvey co-starred in Wayne's World 2. Dana Carvey won an Emmy Award in 1993 for Outstanding Individual Performance in a Variety or Music Program. He starred in The Dana Carvey Show in 1996. Dana Carvey has received a total of six Emmy nominations, including one for a guest appearance on HBO's highly acclaimed Larry Sanders Show. In 2002, Dana Carvey returned to the silver screen in the comedy Master of Disguise. Dana Carvey is also listed at number 90 on Comedy Central's list of the 100 Greatest Stand-ups of All Time.
